This old man

This old man, he played one (raise one finger, etc.)
He played nick-nack on his thumb;
(pound on other fist)
Nick-nack, paddy wack,
Give the dog a bone.
(clap hands)
This old man goes rolling home.
(roll hands)

He played nick-nack on his shoe.
Nick-nack, paddy-wack, etc.

Three - on his knee
Four - on the floor
Five - on his side
Six - with some sticks
Seven - up to Heaven
Eight - on his plate
Nine - all the time
Ten - all over again

(Wave hand away, fluttering fingers behind back)

(Spiral motion up)

(Spiral motion down)

Tall as a feather, broad as a sail.
(Wave hand for tail)
Where's his supper - in the shell,
Snappity, crackity, out it fell.
(Thumb and index finger open and shut to crack nut)

See the snowflakes falling down

(Hold hands high, move fingers rapidly and bring hands to lap)
Softly, softly to the ground.
They make a blanket soft and white
To keep the flowers through winter's night.
(Pat lap gently with hands as though patting snow on flower bed)
See the snowflakes on their way,
Twirling, swirling as they play.
(Same as first, but move arms around as brought down)
Is it not a pretty sight - when all the earth is dressed in white?

The stork is such a funny bird

She stands on one leg all night.
(Children stand on one foot.)
Her head is tucked beneath her wing
Completely out of sight.
(Tuck head under arm)
In the morning when she wakes
Up pops her head so high,
Down drops her foot

(Spread arms and flap them)

Mr Moon

"Mr. Moon, Mr. Moon,
you're out too soon,
the sun is still in the sky.
Go back to your bed
and cover up your head,
and wait until the day goes by."

Point to the moon when you mention it, cover your face with your hands or a diaper at the words "cover up your head," then mimic going to sleep on folded hands at the end.

I have ten fingers (hold up both hands, fingers spread)
And they all belong to me, ( point to self )
I can make them do things-
Would you like to see?

I can put them together (place palms together)
I can make them all hide (put hands behind back)

I can make them jump high (hands over head)
I can make them jump low (touch floor)
I can fold them up quietly (fold hands in )

Then down came the Good Fairy, and she said:
- Little Bunny Foo-Foo, (wag forefinger - "no-no")
- I don't wanna see you (wag forefinger - "no-no")
- Scooping up the field mice, (scooping motion with hand)
- and bopping them on the head. (slap top of fist with palm)
(spoken)
I'll give you 3 chances,
and if you don't behave,
I'll turn you into a Goon!
